Happy Halloween!
Lauren is doing much better. She's keeping all her food down, even if her apetite is not great. She never had a fever, so I'm thinking it was either a 24 hour stomach bug, or it was too much candy corn. I gave them each a small bag with about 10 pieces the other day, not thinking they would eat it all in one sitting. I should have known better! Oh well, won't do that again. Of course, at this rate they never get through their candy and guess who winds up eating it all? That's right! Me!
Yesterday we went to check out our new open air shopping center which is just up the road. As it turned out, maybe going on opening day was not the smartest move. We were there at lunchtime and everywhere was swamped. We wound up eating in the huge new Barnes and Noble. It has a big kids section with a stage for story time, we're very excited. I let each of them pick a book, and luckily they each picked a small paperback, Jack got one about Transformers,(his latest obsession) and Lauren got one about Dora. I'm happy to say that's all we purchased all morning! Of course, Gymboree wasn't open yet, so that's bound to be dangerous, to have one of those so close-by. The kids loved the play area in the mall even though you could tell whomever designed that thing knew nothing about kids!

So last night at 2AM Lauren comes into our bedroom and informs me that she threw up. So I dragged myself out of bed to see that she had thrown up a bit on the tile in the bathroom. I didn't think that was too bad, until Lauren showed me where it was all over her bed. Eww, much worse. Luckily it was sort of contained by the quilt, so once that was off I just needed to find her a new topsheet and blanket. So I asked her repeatedly if she thought she might throw up again, and she very adamanetly said no, so I changed her nightgown and brushed her teeth and settled her back in bed. Then about 10 minutes later as I'm in the garage trying to rinse off the quilt, I hear her at it again, this time on the carpet outside her room. This time Jack wakes up and won't go back to bed, so then Mike was awake to settle him down, so the whole family had a disrupted night.
In the morning I asked Lauren if she was feeling alright, and she said yes, but she didn't want to go to school. Lauren really likes school, so I think if she doesn't want to go, then she really isn't feeling well. And she did look a bit peaked. The problem was, since Mike was already gone, I had to take her with me to drop off Jack and Taylor. I was worried she might throw up in the car, but it didn't turn out to be as bad as I anticipated, and she made it home in good spirits. She wouldn't eat any breakfast, but I got her drink some water and eat some applesauce which stayed down. She wasn't running a fever, so I thought maybe she was on the mend.
Well, on the way to pickup Jack she said she was hungry, so I let her have some cheerios in the car. It wasn't until I had already picked him up and we were just pulling out of the parking lot that she said she had to throw up again. Luckily I got her out of the car in time. It was mostly water, since she hadn't had anything to eat. At least I didn't feel like bad for keeping her home from school. (Sometimes I worry that I'm being a hypochondriac!)
At lunch she ate a small piece of buttered toast, some chicken noodle soup and some banana slices, and she kept that down, but I couldn't really get her to have anything for dinner. We skipped the Mom's club Halloween party. Jack was rather distraught, but he'll have a little party at school, at MyGym and in our community before an evening of trick-or treating on Friday, so he'll still have plenty of time too show off his costume. (Whichever one he finally decides to wear, that is!)Comments:Add a comment:

Saturday after the garage sale Lauren had a playdate with Rachelle, one of her classmates from last year and also a resident in our community. Jack was distraught that he wasn'r able to come along, but I didn't think it was fair to Lauren. It was Ok for a while and the girls played nicely together. I would say it was more awkward for me for some reason. I think the question hangs in the air why they aren't better friends and why the other mom and I aren't better friends. Maybe it's just not the right chemistry for both.
Yesterday we went to a small fair that we saw out in Lutz near the school. We brought Taylor with us and the kids were just besides themselves with glee. When we got there at 11AM it wasn't open despite the info on the flyer that had said it would open at 10. But they did open at 1PM, so we went off and had lunch and came back. All the kids got armbands so they could do unlimited rides, and they really got their money's worth, doing some things over and over again since there were no lines. Lauren even went on the "Ghost train" with me which wasn't realy very scary but extremely loud. My favorite was the ferris wheel which gave us an unprecedented view of the area and it was a gorgeous day. The only tricky thing was saying no to all the carnival games, but we did manage it somehow.Comments:Add a comment:

Wednesday afternoon we had Meghan and Sarah over for a playdate that turned into dinner too. They had fun running around outside on their bikes and other such frivolities. Thursday we just ran errands and had an impromtu playdate with Taylor. We wee attempting to walk by their house when the kids saw Taylor in her back yard playing with some friends of theirs who had stopped by. I was not able to convince them to continue onto the park, and it's sort of embarrassinng how they just invite themselves into the Brock's home, but it's almost like a second home to them, so I guess it's to be expected.
Friday I had an unfortunate incident with an umbrella where I accidently cut myself rather severely on my hand between my thumb and fore-finger. Ouch! It wasn't a very big cut, but it seemed deep and wouldn't stop bleeding. I ended up up going to Urgent Care and got they patched me up and gave me a tetanus shot. They put an ace bandage on it and told me to rest it and not get it wet. Good luck, between handling the kids, hand washing, and dishes etc! Luckily this all hapened while they were both in school.
It had been raining quite a lot all day, but it cleared up and the kids had fun playing on the driveway and around the cul-de-sac. Allison had the brilliant idea of ordering pizza, and we just set up a folding table on the driveway and ate out there. It's so pleasant out there now, we have to enjoy it while we can.
I had a call from the school infoming me that a place has opened up for Jack that is still MWF but it's full day. I guess since Jack is transitioning out of his nap anyway, it might not be a bad idea. They said they could have him nap if I thought that was necessary. I wonder how he'd do napping in a group setting like that? I just feel like it's ridiculous to pay for them to give him lunch and a nap when we could do that at home. It would be easier to have one pick-up time for both of them. It would complicate our car-pool arrangement though! I'm considering the options. . .
Yesterday we had our community garage sale. I sold quite a lot of old toys and books. Sara came and took LAuren to ballet. They also walked down the street to see Taylor, and I gave them a dollar each to spend if they wanted. I thought it's an opportunity to teach them a little about money. Lauren bought a Dora football from Taylor. Jack saw a tranformer costume at another neighbor's, but since it was size 7/8 Sara didn't buy it. I went back a few minutes later because I figured we could use it next year, but it was already gone. Oh well, that's the way it goes, you need to have the "see it/like it/buy it" mentality at these things!

Yet another week has passed. Let's see, we took a while to recover from our late night Disney extravaganza. We've been having lots of playdates with Taylor. On Thursday Morning we went for a playdate with Megan and Sarah and their Mom Jody. It was nice to be at their house and they played very well together, even if Jack was left out sometimes. I don't always know what to tell him if they run off without him. I think that's sort of the fate of being the younger sibling. I have memories of that experience myself. All I can do is be empathetic I suppose. Lauren and Taylor tend to do that as well, they form such a tight twosome it leaves him out. It's a shame there isn't another boy in our immediate neighborhood closer to his age.
Friday there was no school so I took the kids to Busch Gardens. It was crowded because, of course, everyone else had the same idea, but we still had a good day. It's the first time I've been there with them by myelf, and I was encouraged that it was easier than I imagined. I'm learning to pack lighter now that I don't have diapers to contend with, so I just had a light backpack that was easy to take with me when I needed to leave the stroller. We pretty much stayed in the "Land of the Dragons" which is designed just for little ones their size, and for once they got to do absolutely everything there. They had the water splash area open, and Lauren found a girl with the same Ariel bathing suit and they sat around pretending to be mermaids which was so adorable. Of course Jack was always running off in the opposite direction, so I was a bit nervous that he'd fall and hurt himself, but he was alright. At the end I was so glad I had the stoller because Jack fell asleep, and I decided to walk back to the car rather than take the tram, which would have involved waking him up and taking everything out of the stroller to fold it up. Lauren was a good sport about walking and it wasn't even that far in the end. Then we met Mike out for dinner so it was a very full day out.
Saturday Lauren didn't have ballet so I took Jack to his Mygym class, and I forgot that it was a combined class, which means Lauren could have joined in, since there were just a few kids. Jack was definitely pushing the limits and had to have a few time-outs. I'm not always sure when to step in and take over, but he can be sort of disruptive. Lauren had a fancy lunch with Mike at the new Thai restauant nearby. When we got back I was going to take Lauren along with me to take Sadie for a quick visit to the vet, but on our way out we saw Taylor, so I encouraged her to ride her bike around with her instead, (supervised by dads). I was back soon, and the playdate evolved into having Taylor over for dinner which the kids were so thrilled about they could hardly eat, they were so excited.
Sunday I was MIA since I had an audition in Orlando, but they did some more playing with Taylor and apparently had lunch over at her house. I made it back in time for dinner which was also out. Mike is thrilled that we have a sort of mini strip-mall which is walking distance from our house. There are some new restaurants there we've been checking out. It makes for a fun activity to do with the kids now that it's not quite so hot out.
Monday was another marathon for me because Lauren had a field trip to the Zoo. I decided to just bring Jack along rather than deal with drop off/pick- up for him at school. The trouble with doing anything in large numbers is all the waiting around we did. But they are studying Australia in Lauren's class, so they were very interested by the "Walleroo Station" area where there are wallabies and Kangeroos. There was even a mama with a baby hanging out of her pouch! They loved the petting area with the baby goats and llamas, and they even brushed their coats. I didn't realize that the zoo had so many rides which cost extra tokens. I was out of cash and the one that took credit cards didn't work, so we just had to do without. I insisted on going to the African area to see my beloved elephants and the kids were able to see a giraffe being fed. We also saw some zebras and rhinos up close. But that was sort of the extent of the animals we saw. Oh yes, we did see some pengins too. We had to get out of there early because I had another audition to get to, and Jack fell asleep in the car, but alas did not transfer. In fact, he was fairly hysterical when I got him out of the car. I really wish I could find a way to do that withhout waking him up!
Today we had Music class and played on the playground afterwards. This afternoon the Moms' Club hosted a karate demonstration at the local karate school. I think it would be good for both of them but I don't think Jack is quite ready. He kept wandering off! Lauren seemed to like it but wasn't begging me to sign her up, so I'm going to think about it. Then we had some playtime at Pride park before dinner. When we got home they were thrilled to see the new Josh Groban Live dvd had arrived from Netflix. I don't know if I've mentioned Jack's recent obsession with Josh Groban, but he asks for it just about anytime we're in the car. He's been asking me all kinds of questions, like, "Where does he live?", "Where does his mommy live?", etc. Finally he asked if there's a dvd of him, and I thought, you know, there probably is! And he even sings a lot of songs from the cd we have, so it's perfect. Only now, they're both asking me when we can go to a concert live!Comments:Add a comment:

Can't beieve it's been a whole week since I blogged. It was sort of a rough week last week because I had essentially 4 days with no Mike(teaching and out of town) and no Sara. I don't know how single parents do it, I was completely wiped out! Thursday was a marathon day. We went to the lab to get Jack's blood drawn. It didn't go too badly. I believe in preparing them a little for what they are about to endure. He did whine a little beforehand, but I don't think it's fair to act like it's no big deal and then poke them with a big needle. I just say that it's going to pinch a little bit, but it won't last long and then it will feel better. I think that builds more trust in them and they don't seem so betrayed during anything sort of painful like shots. Not to say that it was easy, I had to hold him with every ounce of my being, but it didn't take long.
After we were done we went to a lunch place nearby and for once they actually ate well. Then we went to a My Gym class to make up for the class Jack missed last Saturday. There were only 2 other kids there, so they let Lauren join in, which was great. Then we went home for a brief interlude before heading off to playgroup at the park. It was a pretty hot day, so when we got home we hopped in the pool. I must have fished about 7 frogs out of there. I hope they're not breeding in there somehow! The kids were very excited. So that put us bit behind for dinner, but they went down and slept hard, so all of the activity and play was certainly worth it!
Friday we went to see "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" in the movie theatre. Sara was with us, and we wound up taking Taylor along too, which was just thrilling for everyone. The movie was cute, but Jack still tends to say "Is it over?" something like every 20 minutes! Afterwards we went to Chilies for dinner and once again they ate pretty well. Lauren has shocked me by eating pizza, something she has repeated since, so maybe her pizza strike is over!
Saturday we had the usual ballet/ mygym routine excpet that Mike took Jack home halfway through the class because he wasn't listening, which was dissapointing. He seems to consistently lose his concentration about 30-45 minutes into it. Lauren and I had lunch out together anyway since we didn't figure out they had gone home until we were seated already. Otherwise they just swam in our pool during the afternoon.
Sunday we finally saw the Rumplestilskin show down at the performing arts center. It was cute, except that they wanted the kids to sit on the floor, (with seats for the parents but not really closeby), so I wound up sitting on the floor too, which killed my feet and knees! The kids were starving becuase they hadn't eaten much breakfast, so I was surreptitiously feeding them Cheerios and they ate the entire cannister. Afterwards we had a dreadful meal at IHOP on the way home. The food wasn't too bad once it finally arrived, but it took about 45 minutes once we were seated, I kid you not! That is an outrageous amount of time with two hungry toddlers!
Once we were home Mike tried too get Jack to nap while I took Lauren with me to the mall to return her Tinkerbell costume. I had bought it in 2 sizes becuase I wasn't sure which would fit, plus the shoes didn't fit. That's what I get for buying it all without her presence. Oh well, it was still probably easier to buy it and return it! Then we went looking for some hairbows for her school picture on Monday, which became a sort of quest. We did find some bows but we also found some clothes for Lauren along the way. We also had fun in two different play areas and on the carousel. Oh, and she had some Dippin Dots ice cream. Whoever invented that stuff is a genius! No mess!
Monday was another marathon. They had school pictures, and it was tough figuring out what clothes to put them in that would look good together since they would have them together as well as individually. I hope they came out well, because I cringe to realize that these will be their first portraits together.
After school we headed off to Disney for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. We put the kids into their costumes when we got there and they looked so cute! Especially Lauren, she was absolutely the prettiest Tinkerbell I saw all night. Jack kept his Power Ranger mask on a lot, so you can't see his cute mug. The start of our time there was marred by a lot of unexpected torrential rain showers. We found ouself taking cover a lot as we attempted to make it to the rides. We did make it to the tea cups and the Winnie the Pooh ride before getting dinner where we met up with the Brocks. As luck woukd have it, there was this dance party in there right in front of where we were sitting. Lauren, Taylor and Jack were right in front of the stage, doing the Hokey Pokey like nobody's business! The only problem was trying to get them to actually eat something. But really, I think it turned out to be the highlight of the evening. After that we did some trick-or treating, punctuated with some rides, the most notable being the barn-stormer rollercoaster. The last time we attempted that one, we had to get off because Jack was shrieking. This time he was just quietly thrilled, so it amazed me to think how much he's grown up since then! Other highlights of the night included the fireworks and the parade, but that didn't end until after 11PM! By the time we got to the car, got the kids into their PJ's and got on the road, it was almost midnight and we got home by about 1AM. The kids fell asleep on the way to the car, but Jack woke up when we got to the car, and was actually awake for most of the ride home, which continues to amaze me. Luckily Mike volunteered to drive home because I was more wiped out than the kids!
This morning I insisted on a bath for the kids since Jack had wet his underwear in his costume at one point, plus he was so sweaty from running around in head to toe polyester. Lauren didn't seem as bad but I still wanted them to start off clean today. That put us a little off schedule getting to Music class, where, by the way, we saw a large alligator just lounging on the bank of the lake, mere yards from the playground! Yikes! Jack did take a nap this afternoon thankfully, and then we headed to playgroup at the park.
Oh, and Jack pooped on the potty 3 times today! That must be an all-time record! I am so proud of him! He was wearing his Buzz Lightyear underwear, I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. He seems to really get it now, but he seems to prefer his little potty to the toilet. So that will be our next challenge, getting him to sit up on the toilet so I don't have to clean that potty anymore. Ugh, it's almst worse than changing a diaper!Comments:Add a comment:

Yesterday I took Jack to the doctor to discuss his leg cramps, and he also happened to have a cough and some wheezing, so he recommended some more breathing treatments with the nebulizer. The leg cramps, of course, haven't made an appearence since Friday. I mentioned all the things I thought could be contributing factors, his legs dangling from his booster seat at the table(and his car seat for that matter), his occaisional toe walking, and worries about low potassium, calcium, magnesium etc. He is sending us to the lab to get that stuff checked out, and they'll check his iron while they're at it.
Last night he popped up out of bed a million times, and he had every excuse imaginable. Finally he said he needed to go potty, and I feel like that's one he can always get to me on, becuase it could be true. Well, not only did he pee but he pooped as well! I was thrilled that Saturday was not a complete fluke, but also because he fianlly settled down, so that must have been what was really bothering him.
Of course, then today he had a major accident this afternoon in his underwear with both, so I almost feel like we're back at square one. Almost. I'm going to remain cautiously optimistic despite all eveidence to the contrary! (Sort of like how I feel about the current economy. . .)
Today after music class we went to Wal-mart and Jack finally got his promised monster truck. I was surprised that he chose a medium size one instead of the realy big one that had sound effects and other features. Lauren was begging for somethig too, so she got a ball and jacks from the clearence bin! The only problem is that Jack seems to think he's going to get a new monster truck for each potty success, and now the lollipops don't seem nearly as thrilling. Oh well, he'll see that lollipops are better than nothing!Comments:Add a comment:

So I'm an idiot. I bought season tickets to the Wee Folk Series of plays for kids 3-5 years old down at the Performing Arts Center. And for some reason I got it in my head that the first show was today. We got all the way down there and we were parking before I looked at the ticket and saw that it said Oct 12. OOPS! The kids were very dissappointed, so we quickly decided to go to the Aquarium which is also downtown. I decided to get a family pass for the year. It will pay itself off if we go even just one more time. The kids had fun, and there was even an animal show where they saw an owl, armadillo, skunk, alligator, and snake. Jack got a little scared in the coral reef section that was sort of dark and had some weird sound effects going on. We had lunch and then headed out to the play area. It is like a water park, so I bought them suits and towls in the gift shop since we had come unprepared. They had a blast. Unfortunately it was also a day without the camera. Another day where we blew right through nap time, but it didn't seem too bad for Jack until after bathtime, when he was just falling over, he was so tired!

This is an historic day. Jack finally pooped on the potty! Alas, we were not there to witness the victorious event. Mike and I were on "date nite". I had a feeling it may be coming, because Jack had been wailing all afternoon how he most empahtically did NOT want to go poo-poo on the potty. But he obviously did need to go, and since he had a pull-up on after nap time, (when he most decidedly did not nap either) I just said, it's OK, just go in your pull-up. He seemed conflicted about it, but since he hadn't gone in a few days, I just wanted him to go regardless. Afterwards he told me he had gone, and although I was very happy for him and cheerily took him off to change him, he seemed defeated. I gave him a big hug and said," It's OK Jack, next time, you'll go on the potty." And he gave me this soulful look right in the eyes and said "OK Mommy." And I thought to myself, things are going to change soon. He obviously has the bowel control. it's just an emotional hurdle at this point. So we were very pleased to get the phone call from him, and he sounded very proud. One of his rewards was that he got to wear his Power Ranger costume, which apparently he had on until he went to bed. Tomorrow I guess we have to go buy him his promised Monster truck. I'm trying to determine what is a reasonable reward from now on. I'm thinking in the short term it will be lollipops. We still have a bunch of those little Dum-dums sitting around somewhere. He's already forgetting to ask for his jelly bean after peeing, I'm hoping that using the toilet like a big boy will soon be reward enough.
Since Jack didn't nap I decided to take him to the Stride Rite store this afternoon to get new sneakers. I bought him some Bat-man ones at Target recently, but they seem a little narrow in the toe, and I want him to have one good comfy pair of sneakers. The good news is that he's no longer an extra-wide, so it should be easier to find him shoes in general. I wanted to find some with velcro, but we wound up with some with laces because they seemed so light and comfy. The big mistake was bringing Lauren along, because the girl does not need any more shoes, yet she still convinced me to get her some pink mary janes. I guess I can rationalize that you can wear them without socks, and that she can wear them with most of her dresses. I've been feeling gulity that I haven't bought them better quality shoes since they blow through them so quickly. Part of me wonders if Jack's cramps have anything to do with inadequate footwear. I'm constantly wondering if there's something I can do that will help matters. I guess that just comes with being a mom!Comments:Add a comment:

This morning Jack seems to be developing a cough and sniffles, and I can' help but wonder if letting them run around in the fountain yesterday had anything to do with it.
I put together the new chair and Jack seems to like it fine, but I guess only time will tell if it will make a difference with his leg cramps. Today when I picked him up from school Ms. Dima said he had 2 seperate cramp episodes where he was even crying. I called the doctor immeditely but can't get an appointment until Monday. He did call me back and suggested I use an anti-inflammatory like Motrin, and I hadn't thought of that. I mentioned to him my efforts to increase his potassium intake through foods, although he said that in his experience that is rarely the cause. I also told him that Jack tends to walk on his toes sometimes. I wonder if we did some sort of toddler yoga if that would help?!
I've been doing some research and apparently potassium is not as much a factor with cramps as calcium, magnesium and sodium, and dehydration can also be a factor. Jack sweats a lot, so now I'm wondering if that's a factor since it's hot here so much of the time. I've decided that I need to push the orange juice with added calcium, and also to let him have chocolte milk made with Ovaltine since it has both calcium and magnesium. I also think I'll try "administering" some pedialyte or Gatorade every few hours or so and treat it like medicine for his cramps, see if that helps with his electrolytes. Here I was worrying about his sodium intake, and maybe he's not getting enough sodium to replace what he's losing in sweat. It never occured to me he might be dehydrated since his pee is usually pretty pale, but I'm willing to try some of these simple dietry changes to see if they will help.
Something cute I've been meaning to mention about Jack with his imagination, lately he's been picking a persona and then pretends that he's that character. The other day he was calling himself Kai, and even introduces himself to strangers that way. Kai is the son of my friend Lucia who we visited in San Francisco this summer. Then he took it step further and insisted that Lauren was Claire, (Kai's sister). He will keep it up for hours at a time! Today he was R2D2 and also a Power Ranger. He likes to call himself a "Star-Wur" meaning a storm trooper from Star Wars, which, I would like to point out, he has yet to really see due to our VCR mishap of the other day. I don't know where he gets these ideas. Sometimes he's Iron man, sometimes he's Spiderman, the other day he was Batman becasue he has some new Batman sneakers. Yesterday he went around calling Lauren Hannah Montana, which she was thrilled about. He will even go so far as to correct you if you don't address him in the proper way. "I'm not Jack, I'm Kai"! Sometimes I tell him "Oh, well where's Jack? Because I miss him." That certainly cracks him up!
Lauren finally decorated her little pumpkin this afternoon which she has been begging me to do for 3 days now. First she painted it, and when it was dry, added foamy stickers. It is now quite the festive piece! Jack did his too when he woke up from his nap. It really was not such a big deal, but reminded me that I need to get all the art supplies in order so that it's easier to do stuff like that. The big roll of butcher paper is key!Comments:Add a comment:

Tuesday the plan was to have the kids help me bake some brownies for their school's bake sale on Wednesday, but they opted to play outside on their bikes instead. But I just made some from a box, and it was so easy I have vowed to do more baking so the kids can partcipate and lick the mixing spoon (always my favorite part of helping when I was growing up!)
Today I finally got in gear and got Jack a new high chair. It's this wooden thing that's adjustable, but the most important feature is a platform that he can put his feet on. I'm hoping this will help with his leg cramps.
I also measured Lauren and she's at the limit for her car-seat, not by weight, and not by overall height, but her seat to shoulder measurement. I found a new car seat that has a 5 point harness which we can use up to 80 pounds, and then it can be used as a booster up to 100 pounds. So hopefully it'll be the last seat I'll need to buy. Of course Lauren wants the pink which is only available online, so now we have to wait for it to get here.
I also ordered them each a table and foot-rest thing for their car-seats. I'm happy to say I got free shipping on everything, so that certainly makes it easier than running around trying to find these things in the stores.
I did want to get that chair right away though, so I sucked it up and drove down to South Tampa whith the kids in tow this morning. It was a pretty cool store with lots of neat toys, so though I succeeded in getting out of there without buying anything but the chair and the cushion for the chair, there was much screaming and carrying on from each child.
I was going to swing by the big Wild Oats Health food store on the way home, but realized that perhaps we were in blood sugar meltdown since it was around noon, changed my mind and headed for Hyde Park for lunch. That did indeed improve matters, and afterwards we went to the playground in the park across from the little outdoor cafe we always go to. Soon the kids discovered the fountain which is like a water park. It was hot and they SO wanted to run around and get wet. So I stripped them each down to their underwear and let them get completely, soaking wet. That is a sign that I'm loosenig up, because a year ago I probably wouldn't have done that. But they were so happy frolicking around in there, it was worth me feeling a little uncomfortble. There were some other kids in similar states of undress, so I didn't feel too awkward. And they were so wiped out that Jack actually took a nap in the car. This time I decided not to even attempt to transfer him. Lauren went inside to watch some TV and I sat with him in the minivan which was parked halfway into the garage with the a/c running for at least half an hour. I checked on her every 10 minutes or so, and she was wiped out too, she didn't move from her chair the entire time. She was so wiped out that she didn't want to go to playgroup at the pool, and that has got to be a first!Comments:Add a comment:
